Publications and Events Account Strategist

Do you believe in the power of print? Do branded events fire you up? Does the unlimited potential for generating new clients and nurturing some existing relationships excite you? Do you genuinely enjoy interacting with clients and helping them build their business through print advertising and event sponsorships? Then we should probably talk.

As an M3 Group Publications Account Strategist, you’ll get a meaningful understanding of our publications and pitch them to business leaders of all sizes. You’ll be comfortable presenting those products and your ideas, your follow up skills will be unmatched, and your customer service skills will be on point.

You’ll also bring a high level of sponsorships in to support some of the region’s most popular events. We develop and execute several types of events, providing you a broad opportunity to match the event and its audience to sponsor marketing goals.

A commission-based position with a stipend doesn’t scare you, because you are just-that-good at what you do.

As an M3 Group Publications Account Strategist, your essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Responsible for generating new business by seeking out and targeting new customers and sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for M3 Group
  • Networks and develops working relationships with potential clients
  • Designs and delivers presentations highlighting the products and services of M3 Group publications and events that meet potential client needs
  • Negotiates contract terms with clients and successfully closes sales
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Represents M3 Group at business, community and trade association meetings to promote M3 Group publications and events
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications or a related field is preferred with a minimum of two to three years of prior sales or customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or training and/or experience that provides the following knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proposal preparation and delivery skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Extremely detailed oriented
  • Systematic approach to sales
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure
