Senior Digital Strategist

M3 Group is seeking a Senior Digital Strategist to lead agency digital marketing efforts to create and deliver effective digital strategies to our clients. This role is both strategic and tactical, with responsibility to set the vision for digital product offerings and ensure client programs are running at peak efficiency. You’ll own agency digital efforts – with both the vision to see emerging client needs and to configure solutions to meet them. You’ll work with our client-facing teams across the agency to serve clients’ digital marketing needs. This position also supports agency marketing efforts.  

The Senior Digital Strategist will apply extensive knowledge and experience in marketing automation, customer relationship management (CRM), programmatic digital advertising, paid search, and search engine optimization channels to help achieve agency and client success goals. The position will own agency digital efforts on behalf of both M3 and our clients – including providing the vision to see emerging client needs and configure solutions to meet them.  

 The Senior Digital Strategist is also responsible for understanding, shaping, and driving key KPIs. They will collaborate with the client to recommend KPIs and with teammates to ensure they are consistently and accurately measured.  

 This position will support clients by consulting on client needs, configuring programs, and effectively executing those programs. Regular duties will be to configure and deploy campaigns, ensure optimization, and provide regular reporting against KPIs. Similarly, this position will also support M3’s marketing efforts. 

 We’re seeking a diverse background in digital marketing – including CRM, marketing automation, SEO, PPC, programmatic display, and whatever else you can bring to the party. 

 You should be able to get up-to-speed quickly and work with minimal direction. Bring fresh ideas and a new perspective. You’ll need to be able to support the sales process with solid digital solutions and then implement those solutions for our clients.  

 Some other specifics of this gig: 

 We’re based in Lansing, Michigan – but we’re open to remote staff in Michigan, if you’re the right fit 

  • Create a profit center for M3 centered on digital excellence 
  • Deliver client implementation of CRM and marketing automation programs 
  • Understand paid digital media including programmatic digital display, paid search, and paid social and have proven experience configuring and implementing campaigns  
  • Recommend and help implement SEO programs and report performance improvements (SEMRush experience a plus) 
  • Educate teammates to drive overall digital knowledge throughout the agency 
  • Provide consultation and implementation of client programmatic digital advertising and paid search initiatives 
  • Must meet or exceed deadlines and scope for client deliverables 
  • Perform competitive analysis, as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Proven track record of owning digital marketing efforts resulting in growth of qualified leads  
  • Strong experience with marketing automation and CRM systems –  SharpSpring and/or Salesforce/Pardot preferred 
  • Requires 6+ years digital marketing experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field is required 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills  
  • Solid Google Analytics experience preferred. 
  • Experience managing programmatic DSP software (StackAdapt, Simpli.fi, Choozle, etc.) a plus 
  • Agency experience is a plus
